On the back of my last post on here, I started looking into the idea of a best practice manual for motorbike insurance to see how it would ultimately impact upon the industry. The bad news is that, unless it successfully cuts the number of accidents involving motorbikes down, then it will not impact upon your motorbike insurance at all because it is not exactly something you can declare. Anyone can read a manual. However, it seems to have spurred areas into action!
Yes, some local authorities and driving schools have actually been inspired into offering motorbike safety courses and advanced rider courses. Of course, these have been around for a while but not on the level of availability they are now. As such, you may be able to save on your motorbike insurance premiums in the future if you attend one of these courses!
