Statement from Travel Guard on the Moscow Bombing

Travel insurance carriers release position statements when current events affect coverage.  The following is a position statement from Travel Guard on the recent bombing in Moscow.

On 29 March, two explosions at Metro stations in Russia’s capital, Moscow, during the early morning rush hour left dozens of people dead and many more injured.  A Chechen militant claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks on the Moscow subway in an Internet message posted hours after two more suicide bombers struck southern Russia in brazen defiance of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Insurance would have to have been purchased by 03/28/2010 for coverage.  Coverage for terrorism would be based on the plan purchased and that plan’s Description of Coverage.
